Saturday's Critters #61

Saturday's Critters #61

♥♥  Happy Valentine's Day ♥♥

Happy weekend..I hope everyone is well.. It's time to share your critters.. Any kind of critter will do, even a new or old post.. I appreciate everyone who has linked up in the past and for those who are linking in on this week's critter party. And of course I always appreciate all my blogging friends stopping by just for a visit.

Suddenly my Pine Siskin numbers have increased from just one to three on Feb 9..I am hoping next time they bring their friend the Redpoll  with them to lunch at Eileen's..

Above are three Pine Siskins on the thistle sock..

Meet my new grandpuppy ..Nibbles is her name... Nibbles is a rescue, part German Shepherd.. I am happy I will be able to puppy sit sometimes.. YEA!!

Isn't she cute? My son surprised us with his new puppy last Sunday when we showed up at his place to go out to dinner.. A cute and wonderful surprise..

I hope you enjoyed my new Grandpuppy, my birds and post..Again I thank you for linking up to the critter party. I also appreciate the visits, comments and the support of my blogging friends................... Have a happy weekend!

Eileen, how can I tell the difference between a Pine Siskins and a Goldfinch beginning to turn? I thought I was looking at finches, but in looking at your close-up, I wonder. What woould be the distinguishing factors?..:)JP

  63. Nibbles is super cute!
We have pine siskins here at the moment, and we have been warned that many of them actually develop some kind of salmonella that kill them as well as other birds that share the same feeders. It's sad... we will actually stop feeding for two weeks or so until the pine siskins have moved on (they don't stay here). So far there weren't any dead birds in my yard, but I'm not taking any chances.
